Synergy Student Portal & App

School Synergy is the tool that we use to monitor and support students. This information is shared with you using the Student Portal & App.

You can use School Synergy to view;

  • Attendance
  • Behaviour: Achievement and Sanctions
  • Student Bulletin/Notices
  • Class Work and Assignments
  • Timetable
  • School Calendar

To access Synergy via the Portal click the following link www.thedeanery.schoolsynergy.co.uk or download the App from the App Store. To sign-in click the ‘Microsoft’ button and type your full school email address and password.

Microsoft 365

Microsoft Office 365 is now available to all students. It allows access to common Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint online via Microsoft’s Office 365 website. If you store your documents within Microsoft One Drive you can easily use Office 365 to work on them from home or within school. It works on Windows, Apple and Android devices. Office 365 will also allow you to download office application such as Word onto compatible devices.

Log-in via www.office.com and type in your full school email address and password.

Troubleshooting

“Synergy says that my account does not exist.”
Logging into Synergy for the first time, pupils need to activate their Microsoft Office 365  account via www.office.com using their full school email address and password. Once they have done this and are successful, they are to visit thedeanery.schoolsynergy.co.uk where they are to click on the ‘Microsoft’ button and then type in the same full school email address and password that they have just used.

“Microsoft Office 365 does not work.”
Pupils must use their full school email address and password i.e. 21BloggsJo@Deanery.wigan.sch.uk If this does not work, double check that the email address is typed in correctly. If the error continues, contact your child’s head of year who will then liaise with our ICT department to reset the account password. Then please repeat the step above.

“I can successfully log in to Microsoft Office 365, but Synergy does not work.”
Pupils must click on the ‘Microsoft’ button when attempting to log in to Synergy. They then must type their full school email address and password which they use for accessing Microsoft Office 365. Check everything is typed in correctly. If this still does not work then contact Mr Grady: sgradyl@deanery.wigan.sch.uk
