Jesus said, “I have come that they might have life – life in all its fullness.”

John 10:10

The Deanery Church of England High School and Sixth Form College is an 11 – 18 Voluntary Aided School within the Diocese of Liverpool, situated in the centre of Wigan. Originally opened as All Saints School in 1930, the “Deanery” came into being in 1970. We are now located in a new purpose built school on the footprint of the old – the coming together of Past, Present and Future.

Faith, Hope, Love, Wisdom, Courage & Integrity.

Headteacher's Welcome

Your future begins here

Judged “Good” by Ofsted in 2016, we are proud of our school, our pupils and their achievements. Our determination to create a positive learning climate for every pupil is at the heart of everything we do.

Your Future

As an 11 – 18 school we offer the chance of progression through all three Key Stages; 3, 4 and 5, all on one site. This gives pupils the opportunity to work with staff who already know them and who work well with them. We also give a warm welcome to pupils who join us from other schools.
